AVL - Database Vendor Information

The following information is provided for Database Vendors interested in submitting a product for consideration for inclusion in the Alabama Virtual Library.


Review Process
  1. Submit the Product Review Request Form no later than January 1 in order to receive consideration for the fiscal year beginning October 1. Forms received after January 1 may not be considered until the next review cycle.
  2. All Product Review Request Forms received prior to January 1 will be distributed to and reviewed by members of the AVL Database Review Committee.
  3. Upon completion of review, a letter (favorable or unfavorable) will be sent.
  4. If the review is favorable, an AVL Council representative will request pricing.
  5. NOTE: A favorable review and request for pricing does not guarantee the AVL will purchase or subscribe to a product.
