AVL - Database Vendor Inquiries

The following information is provided for Database Vendors interested in submitting a product for consideration for inclusion in the Alabama Virtual Library.

Review Process
  1. Submit the Product Review Request Form no later than January 1 in order to receive consideration for the fiscal year beginning October 1. Forms received after January 1 may not be considered until the next review cycle.

  2. All Product Review Request Forms received prior to January 1 will be distributed to and reviewed by members of the AVL Database Review Committee. Trial access may also be requested.

  3. Upon completion of review, the vendor will be notified.

  4. If the review is favorable, an AVL Council representative will request pricing.

  5. Please Note: A favorable review and request for pricing does not guarantee the AVL will purchase or subscribe to a product.
