THE DATABASES

This section explains the different ways the databases have been organized
and are used within the AVL site.

The AVL has access to over 50 databases. The choices for age groups and topics make it easier to find the databases which contain appropriate resources for your search. If you are a beginning user and need help focusing your search it is best to follow the choices for your topic or age group. If you already know which database you want to search, you can do so from the extensive choices offered by the AVL.

If you choose to do your search according to age group or topic, you will be taken to a new page that contains links to the databases that are recommended for that particular age group or topic. This makes it easier to narrow your search.
